Buying Business Software

It is common knowledge that individuals should purchase business software that will best meet their professional and personal needs. However, many times people are too worried about price rather than value. Just think, when you see new business software being advertised on television or in the newspaper, you automatically come up with the reasons why you need this new expensive software. Most people will automatically run out to the nearest computer store and purchase it for the retail amount. But what most people don’t realize is that you can be getting these goods for much cheaper if you only have a little patience and wisdom.

Open Source, Good or Bad?

“Open source” is a keyword that still gets a lot of buzz in the field of software development. Based on various interpretations of its meaning it can be regarded as a great benefit or a poor call when implementing for business applications. In a production environment, or when you rely on business software applications for critical functions, you don’t want to take chances with the security and stability, and you will undoubtedly come in need of technical support.
